The British Psychological Society (BPS) is an organisation which represents psychologists in the UK, and is responsible for promoting ethical standards, excellence and education in psychology.

  • Good Lives Model

The principles of the Good Lives Model (GLM) inform much of our therapeutic practice with young people who engage in offending behaviours. The GLM is a strengths-based approach towards rehabilitation, which enables professionals and their clients to work on positive capabilities and qualities in an holistic manner.

The Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) is the regulator for many professions including social workers and psychologists in the UK.

  • Royal College of Psychiatrists

The Mental Health and Growing Up Factsheets from the Royal College of Psychiatrists provide information and leaflets for young people, their carers and professionals on a range of topics including ADHD, anxiety, bereavement, bullying, depression, sleep disorders, substance misuse and trauma.

  • Understanding Childhood

The Understanding Childhood website provides downloadable leaflets for child carers and professionals on supporting a young person through childhood and adolescence. Topics include the birth of a new baby, experiences of primary school, separation anxiety and temper tantrums.
