Lauryn Wilkinson

Higher Assistant Psychologist

Lauryn is a Higher Assistant Psychologist at CCATS. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, an MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology, and is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society.

 

Within her role, Lauryn supports Chartered Psychologists across children’s residential homes and adult forensic services, undertaking psychological assessments, delivering psychological interventions, and providing staff training and consultation. She also works directly with private clients, completing psychological assessments and interventions under supervision.

 

Lauryn has experience working with children and adults across clinical, forensic and residential settings. This includes supporting individuals presenting with complex mental health needs, trauma, self-injurious and suicidal behaviours, harmful sexual behaviour, and learning disabilities. Prior to joining CCATS, Lauryn worked as an Assistant Psychologist within a secure rehabilitation hospital for adult males with complex mental health and forensic needs.

 

Lauryn is trained in a range of forensic risk assessment tools, including the HCR-20v3, SVR-20, J-SOAP, and SAVRY. She is also trained in completing and interpreting cognitive assessments using the WAIS-IV and has experience using a variety of psychometric tools. She is experienced in delivering both individual and group interventions, including Life Minus Violence - Enhanced, Life Minus Violence - Harmful Sexual Behaviour, DBT skills, substance misuse interventions, and Protective Parenting programmes.
